
After completing her studies, she joined the financial services industry working at ABSA Bank as well as Saambou Bank in their collections departments. Marianne was admitted as an attorney, notary, and conveyancer in 2005 and practiced as such for 2 years, specialising in conveyancing. She then returned to the financial services industry and joined the Financial Sector Conduct Authority for more than 6 years gaining experience in various aspects of compliance in the industry with a focus on the Financial Advisory and Intermediary Services Act and the Financial Intelligence Centre Act. She joined the Wauko group as internal compliance officer in 2020 overseeing regulatory compliance with financial services legislation, financial crime and data privacy.
