Pieter qualified as a Chartered Accountant (SA) in 2006 and is an experienced entrepreneur and CEO. Pieter’s passion for foreign exchange and treasury management was birthed during the turbulent cauldron of the 2007-2008 Global Financial Crisis.

Following an exemplary 6 year term at PricewaterhouseCoopers in Stellenbosch, which involved managing the audits of global corporations to SME’s and non-profits, Pieter joined the Freshworld Group.

During his 7 years at the Freshworld Group, Pieter was instrumental in the creation and growth of Freshvest.

Under his leadership Freshvest grew into a group that invested in, and provided treasury and currency management services, credit insurance services, remuneration, resources and relationship management services, compliance services and financing, mainly to organisations in the agricultural industry.

Pieter served as Managing Director of Freshvest and Financial Director of Freshworld Holdings.

With the intention to extend the benefits of his skills and experience to all industries, Pieter co-founded Wauko in 2015. Since then Pieter has grown the group’s service offering into a suite that offers a unique experience to both business and individuals.

Jacky has over three decades of banking experience. Her career is best described as deep specialization and focus on the treasury and trading environment where she spent 26 years with the FirstRand Group, followed by just short of 6 years focused on Private Banking at Investec.

Having proved her worth as a formidable fixed income, currency and commodities dealer, she went on to head Rand Merchant Bank’s Eastern Cape region. Technical experience, deep client relationships and strong leadership ability led to her appointment as Head: Cape Region based in Cape Town in 2011.

She joined Investec Bank Ltd as Head of Private Bank: Eastern & Southern Cape in 2016. Here she led the team focused on providing solutions to clients across Banking, Structured Property Finance and Private Capital with a specific aim to build, scale and grow the franchise across the region.

She has a passion for mentoring strong professionals and building high performing teams.

Jacky’s skills and experience in foreign exchange and treasury, private banking and in leading regional businesses brings extraordinary value to the wauko group.
